Our Vision

Matthew 22:37-40 "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart...."

Malachi 4:6 "He shall turn the hearts of the fathers to their children..."

Psalm 133 "How good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity..."

Vision:

To see people reconciled and restored to relationship with the Father and to experience the love, life and light of our Lord Jesus Christ and His faithfulness to all generations.

"Taken from these scriptures, our vision is that peoples' hearts would be turned and restored to a relationship with God. The building up of the family, restored and reconciled to one another in the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. That we would experience the commanded blessing of walking in unity with the body of Christ - loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind and our neighbor as ourselves!"

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • THE GODHEAD We believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, three persons in one, as revealed at the Baptism of Jesus when the Father spake from heaven and the Spirit descended upon the Son in the form of a Dove. “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well please.” (Matthew 3:17)

  • SALVATION OF MAN “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5; Titus 3:5) We become a new creature in Christ. (II Cor. 5:17) “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9 NIV)

  • The INWARD evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. (Romans 8:16)The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness. “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned-” (Romans 5:12; Romans 5:18 NIV)

  • WATER BAPTISM BY IMMERSION Jesus said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” (Matthew 28:19) Having reckoned ourselves dead to sin and alive unto God, we long to be identified with Him in His crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection by this outward symbol.(Romans 6:11)“Therefore, we are buried with Him by baptism into death; that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12)

  • BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT This is the incoming of the promised Comforter to guide into all truth, to endue with power for service, to reveal Christ to the heart, and to make one’s body His abiding temple. When the Holy Spirit comes in, the same initial sign of fullness is given now as on the d ay of Pentecost, when they all spake in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. This sign also accompanied the incoming of the Holy Spirit upon the Gentiles as recorded in Acts 10:45 and Acts 19:6. “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:39) We believe that the initial sign of speaking in tongues is not a onetime experience, but should be a continuing practice in an individual’s time of private devotion. This wonderful experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. (Acts 11:14-16; 19:2-6)

  • THE LORD’S SUPPER The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements, bread and the fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the Divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (II Peter 1:4); a memorial of His suffering and death (I Corinthians 11:26); and is to be partaken of by all believers who are truly saved and walking in the light of God “until He comes”. (Luke 22:19-20; Matthew 26:29; Acts 2:41-42)

  • GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT There are nine gifts of the Spirit, namely: Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Working of Miracles, Prophecies, Discerning of Spirits, Different Kinds of Tongues, and Interpretation of Tongues. (I Corinthians 12:8-10) The gifts are manifestations of the Spirit and are for the edification and up building of the Church. We are to “covet” earnestly the best gifts” (I Corinthians 12:31) We believe that there is a difference between the effectual praying in tongues given to spirit-filled believers for their own edification, and the gift of tongues to be used in the church with interpretation. This is used along with other gifts according to I Corinthians 12:28-31.

  • FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT The fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, and Temperance; against such, there is no law. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22, 23, 25) This is the evidence of a Spirit-filled life.

  • DIVINE HEALING As sickness came into the world through sin, our Heavenly Father provided that the sacrifice of Christ should accomplish a perfect deliverance from all the power of the devil, both for body, mind, and soul. And so it was prophesied of Him “by His stripes we are healed”; (Isaiah 53:5; I Peter 2:24) James, the Apostle, instructed the early Church to call the Elders to pray for the sick, anointing them with oil, and the promise is they shall be raised up. (James 5:14, 15; Mark 16:17, 18)

  • THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS It is evident that we are fast approaching the end of this dispensation. Prophecies and signs are being fulfilled. At the ascension of our Lord, the disciples were promised, “this same Jesus which is taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner, as you have seen Him go into Heaven.” (Acts 1:11) “For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Corinthians 15:51-52)

  • EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT FOR THE WICKED The Bible teaches plainly this solemn truth. (II Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 20:12-15; Matthew 25:26-30; Mark 9:43-44) In Christ Jesus alone is the only way to escape. He is our refuge from the “Wrath to come”.
